At Rhodes Freight Services we are always open for business. There is always someone here to answer your questions and to keep you informed of all movements and issues with your freight.
We operate a full service both day and night fully staffed 24 hours a day, specialising in Temperature Controlled Transport Services.
Close to Heathrow Airport we are ideally located to benefit from the motorway network with the M25 being within a very short drive from our location.
We offer temperature-controlled transport from -25 to +25 degrees. Having the ability to keep and maintain a constant temperature. We move vital temperature sensitive airfreight, whether the loads need to be chilled or heated from nearby Heathrow Airport and all over UK and Europe.
All our vehicles are tracked and are able to produce journey and delivery print outs at the delivery points. This is supported by the operations team that can send you graphs and detailed reports showing you how your freight has been kept at whilst in our safe hands.
The majority of our temperature-controlled vehicles are fitted with roller bed systems. This allows us to efficiently collect intact air freight units from the airport. Where required, we can then re-palletise the cargo onto UK or Euro sized pallets, at our warehouse, without compromising the required temperature levels.
We know the importance of handling goods that may deteriorate over a given period of time or after exposure to adverse temperatures, humidity or other environmental conditions. We have the most advanced technologies such as probes, temperature recorders and highly maintained temperature controlling equipment.
We have the capability to move large amounts of airfreight with our purpose-built roller bed vehicles and trailers. We provide transport for some of the biggest bulk suppliers of perishable goods in the UK. Collecting from airports all over the UK and Europe.
Being so close to Heathrow, Gatwick and Stanstead airports, we provide a collection, breakdown, re-palletisation, and re-distribution service.
We have rigorous checking procedures to ensure all our customers freight is accounted for and at the right temperature.
We then bring the cargo back to our purpose built and equipped Bonded warehouse, with an ETSF area, to be checked, repalletized and custom cleared where required, before the onward journey.
Most commonly transported freight is flowers, fruit, vegetable, Salad and Pharmaceutical. We understand the importance for retailers and wholesalers to receive fresh cargo to maintain a healthy and satisfied customer base.
Rhodes Freight Services specialise in handling and transporting perishable products that require temperature controlled environments. Perishable goods such as flowers, fresh veg, fruit and pharmaceutical goods all require specialist care to avoid any deterioration.
We have the necessary knowledge, experience and equipment to handle and quickly move these types of perishable freight to their final UK and European destination.
General Storage to General Transport
Our 16,000 square foot warehouse, can store all freight, whether that requires a temperature-controlled storage environment or an ambient one.
We offer a break-down service that enables us to collect intact aircraft units, both temperature-controlled and general freight, to then re-palletise for either storage or onward distribution.
We have the ability to store your freight from temperatures of -25 degrees Celsius to +25 degrees Celsius, either on a short or long term basis.
